Home for the Holidays

Home for the Holidays

I just returned from a fabulous visit to the East Coast enjoying Christmas with the family.  Although I had to leave Tatum in Colorado, I was able to get my dog fix with my parent’s dog, Denver, a very young at heart (a.k.a. awnry, puppy-like, stubborn) 7 year old yellow Labrador who beats to his own drum!  He entertained us all on Christmas day tearing through wrapping paper and opening gifts.  His favorite gift being the special batch of Trail Dog Treats that I made just for him.  Just as I expected, Denver devoured the Christmas shaped dog cookies in no time!

Meanwhile, Tatum was having her own fun staying with her best friend, Brando back home in Denver.  Brando’s owners sent me updates throughout the week, with photos of Tatum opening her own gifts on Christmas day.  Santa treated her right!

It’s always great to spend time with my parents, brother, sister-in-law and new nephew during the holidays.  Quality family time that I crave in surroundings that are so familiar to me.  The annual trip back East brings back happy childhood memories of Christmas in Connecticut and the spirit of New York city.  I’m thankful to be able to enjoy the best of both worlds, returning to my home with Tatum in sunny Colorado!
